About Us

I’m the guy behind Prospect Tax. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. I started as a Revenue Agent in the Small Business/Self-Employed Division at the Internal Revenue Service three weeks after graduation. After leaving the IRS at the end of 2017, I spent six months travelling the world. Best decision ever! I met so many wonderful people during this time, many of whom are my great friends today. I moved to South Africa and got married in 2019.

People began coming to me to ask tax and accounting questions after I departed the IRS. Eventually it lead me to do their taxes and bookkeeping. After a few years of doing this on the side beyond my normal 8-5 job, I decided to take it to the next level and formalize this work. Prospect Tax is the result!

Outside of work, if you haven’t already guessed, I enjoy travelling. I’ve been to about 35 countries and counting. I also enjoy cooking, aviation, and trying new things. I have yet to bungee jump, but did go skydiving in Namibia!
